| Milk is a food product, and milk buyers are constantly increasing
pressure on producers to improve milk quality, whether this
is associated with cell count levels, antibiotics or potential
contaminants. Most rubber milk tubing will split or crack over
time, which creates an environment for bacterial growth. Also,
some tubing can release chemicals during its lifetime, and these
can contaminate the milk. |

| The Thermoplastic Vulcanizate Rubber (TPV) inner is a flexible
plastic layer with a number of useful properties for the dairy
farmer. TPV offers very high levels of cleanliness, helping
to maintain high milk quality levels. It also has a high resistance
to chemicals meaning it can withstand detergents being passed
through it with little degradation or cracking. |
The outer black rubber layer protects the internal TPV, while
still maintaining the required flexibility. The two layers are
chemically linked during manufacture to ensure they don’t
separate – no matter how they are treated on the farm. |
